The Korean CSAT(College Scholastic Ability Test), which is the most demanding and most importantly for Korean students, is finally over. In December, when the year ends, how much do you know about our school's 2026 changes about new departments and the new admissions process? 2026, to prospective students who will be entering a new life transition after a long time, the new Sangmyung has changed compared to 2025 and how 2026 Sangmyung is getting closer to students to enrolled students and preliminary students who are entering a new turning point in their lives after a hard time!

Changes of Admission Methods
The Department of Intelligence/Data Convergence was renamed Human AI Engineering, and the Department of Clothing and textile, which belonged to the Department of Food and Nutrition, was opened as an independent department as the Department of Clothing and textile, and the Department of Food and Nutrition reorganized under the Department of Biochemical Engineering. In addition, adjustments have been made such as the integration of majors and the expansion of the admission quota for undeclared majors, which were newly introduced last year and divided into sub-divisions, to the humanities/technology departments. In addition, the limit on references in the high school recommendation screening will disappear, and the minimum academic standards for the CSAT will disappear, resulting in a major change in the number of participants.
The Current Status of the Department of Undecleared Major
Looking at information related to the current status of the newly established D.epartment of Undecleared Major College last year. Seoul Campus is divided into departments, but you can choose departments and majors within Seoul Campus regardless of your affiliation, however you cannot choose departments and majors within the College of Education, the Human AI Engineering major at Convergence Engineering College, and the Music Department at Culture and Arts College. In Cheonan Campus, you can choose departments and majors within Cheonan Campus regardless of your affiliation. But you cannot choose AR/VR Media Design major at the College of Design, AI Media Content major at the College of Arts, AI Mobility Engineering major at the College of Technology, nursing department and green smart city department at the College of Convergence Technology, and early employment contract department. Major selection can be made around June and transfer can be made to several departments you wish to experience.In October, transfers applications can be made, and the major selection is finally confirmed by completing classes in the relevant department. Students have more options to experience a number of classes and discover their aptitude.
Media Organizations of Sangmyung University
Media organization at Sangmyung University are also actively engaged in activities such as the broadcasting festival held in November, essay contests held by the English-language newspaper department, and a school newspapers which edit school journals. Sangmyung University's media organization consists of school newspapers, broadcasting stations, and English newspapers, continuously producing contents that can be helpful to students related to the school, and is actively recruiting new members every quarter. If you are interested in and affectionate with the media, you can apply and act as an intermediary to deliver information from the school.
We looked at Sangmyung University's 2026 changes and information that were not provided in detail to provide a higher quality education to students through continuous change.
